About the Victorian Government Solar Grant

The Victorian Government is helping households to purchase solar to reduce their energy costs with the ‘Solar Homes Package’. Eligible households can claim a 50% rebate on the cost of their new solar system, up to a maximum of $1,850 being for a 4kW system or larger.

With solar equipment pricing being at an all-time low and the rebate of $1,850 there is no better time to get solar installed.
The rebate is now available as a point of sale discount.

Do you meet the criteria?
You will be eligible for the rebate if the following applies to you.
  • Your household’s taxable income is less than $180,000.
  • You are an owner-occupier of a home valued under $3 million.
  • Do not already have solar installed on your property.
  • You have chosen Clean Energy Council (CEC) Approved products and use a CEC Accredited Installer
  • You have chosen an installer who can provide a statement that they have had no significant contravention history, or prosecutions registered with WorkSafe Victoria in the past three years

Rebates available from July 2019 
Applications for solar PV rebates are open again with an additional offering of no-interest loans to complement the rebate, as well as solar for renters and solar battery rebates.
